The seed is the word of God. (Luke 8:11b)
But what comes of a seed that is never planted? Never cultivated in fertile soil?
The seed does not change.
It remains the source of life waiting to be planted — hoping one day to reach toward the sun and grow in strength.
So too, the word of God must be planted in our hearts if we want Him to guide our thoughts, our actions, our decisions as we reach for the Son and grow in strength.
His word does not change.
It remains the source of life. But, its impact on our life will only be seen when we plant the seed in our hearts.
Family camp will challenge our children to understand the seed and how to plant it.
Challenge our youth to water the seed and be rooted and grounded by its power.
Challenge our adults to become living examples of his word — the seed in full bloom.
Challenge us all to grow in His word.
